 Belgium, a country in Western Europe, is known for its medieval old towns, Flemish Renaissance architecture and international headquarters of the European Union and NATO. The country is divided into 2 distinctive multilingual regions: Dutch-speaking Flanders to the north and French-speaking Wallonia to the south. The bilingual capital, Brussels, is home to ornate guildhalls at Grand-Place and an art nouveau-influenced European Quarter.

We hope that our special tips and news will inspire you to discover more about, and visit our destination, the mainly French-speaking areas of Brussels and the region of Wallonia, in the Southern part of Belgium.

  BRUGES

                        Bruges, the capital of West Flanders in northwest Belgium, is distinguished by its canals, cobbled streets and medieval buildings. Its port, Zeebrugge, is an important center for fishing and European trade. The city-center Markt features horse-drawn carriage rides and 17th-century houses converted into restaurants and cafes, as well as the 13th-century belfry with its 47-bell carillon and 83m tower with panoramic views.

BRUSSELS

                         Brussels is Belgium’s capital and home to the headquarters of the European Union. The ornate Grand-Place at the heart of the city has shops and cafes inside 17th-century guildhouses, and the intricate Gothic Hôtel de Ville (town hall) with its distinctive bell tower. The 19th-century Maison du Roi houses the Musée de la Ville de Bruxelles history museum, including costumes for the city’s Manneken-Pis statue.

  
















 LANGUAGE

Brussels operates as a bilingual city where both French (80%) and Dutch (Flemish) (20%) are official languages. Thus all the streets have two names, which can sound totally different. For example, the Main Square is called both la Grand Place and de Grote Markt. Although officially bilingual, French is undoubtedly Brussels' lingua franca. English is also widely understood, but not always widely spoken. Visitors should realize that language is a very divisive issue in Belgium (though this is not as noticeable in Brussels).





GHENT

                 Ghent is a port city in northwest Belgium, at the confluence of the Leie and Scheldt rivers. During the Middle Ages it was a prominent city-state. Today it’s a university town and cultural hub. Its pedestrianized center is known for medieval landmarks such as 12th-century Gravensteen castle and the Graslei, a row of guildhalls beside the Leie river harbor.

The city of Gent (Ghent) is one of Belgium's most beautiful communities. Conveniently located between Brussels and Bruges, Gent features medieval buildings, canals and a host of tourist attractions.

MALMEDY

Malmedy is a Walloon city and municipality of Belgium. It lies in the province of Liège. On January 1, 2006, Malmedy had a total population of 11,829. The total area is 99.96 km² which gives a population density of 118 inhabitants per km². 

If you have time to kill, have a look at the Cwarmé Museum (open Tue-Sun 2-5pm; entry 2.5 €) or the National Paper Museum, which tells the visitor about one of Malmedy's traditional industry : paper. Another reason to visit Malmedy is for the Belgian Formula One Grand Prix of Spa-Francorchamps, held the last week of August, which actually runs between Francorchamps, Malmedy and stavelot
The nearby castle of should not be missed reinhardstein  if you happen to pass through Malmedy.

YPRES

 Ypres (aka leper), is a town in the Belgian province of West Flanders. It's surrounded by Ypres Salient battlefields, where many cemeteries, memorials and war museums honor the German-Allied battles that unfolded in this area during World War I. After the war, most of the town's important buildings were reconstructed meticulously, including Gothic-style Sint-Maartenskathedraal (St. Martin's Cathedral) and its soaring spire.

 ZEEBRUGGE

                          Zeebrugge is a village on the coast of Belgium and a subdivision of Bruges, for which it is the modern port. Zeebrugge serves as both the international port of Bruges-Zeebrugge and a seafront resort with hotels, cafés, a marina and a beach.

BRISBANE 

Brisbane, capital of Queensland, is a big, modern city set on the Brisbane River. MILFORD SOUND

                                  Milford Sound is a fiord in the south west of New Zealand's South Island, within Fiordland National Park, Piopiotahi Marine Reserve, and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site.

Described by Rudyard Kipling as the 'eighth wonder of the world', Milford Sound was carved by glaciers during the ice ages. Milford Sound is breathtaking in any weather. The Fiord's cliffs rise vertically from the dark waters, mountain peaks scrape the sky and waterfalls cascade downwards, some as high as 1000 metres. When it rains in Milford Sound, and it often does, those waterfalls multiply with magnificent effect.

Boat cruises – during the day or overnight – are an excellent way to experience the Sound. Adventurous types might also like to head out sea kayaking, diving or flight seeing. To learn more about the local marine life, visit the underwater observatory at Harrison Cove and marvel at the black coral, 11-legged sea stars and delicate anemones.

If you enjoy hiking or trekking, the Milford Track is for you. The track begins at the northern end of Lake Te Anau and winds its way through some of the world’s most vivid wilderness. Your journey ends with a boat trip from Sand fly Point to the Milford Sound wharf.
Many people visit the Sound on a day trip from Te Anau or Queenstown. The small village of Milford Sound also has limited places to stay so pre-booking is advised or choose from the many options in Te Anau or Manapouri. HUKA FALLS

                             The Huka Falls are a set of waterfalls on the Waikato River that drains Lake Taupo in New Zealand. A few hundred metres upstream from the Huka Falls, the Waikato River narrows from approximately 100 metres across into a canyon only 15 metres across.

The Waikato river is one of New Zealand's longest rivers and it drains Lake Taupo - the largest freshwater lake in all of Australasia. At the Huka Falls, the Waikato River which is normally 100m wide, is squeezed through a 20 metre wide gorge and over a 20m drop. Every second up to 220,000 litres of water gushes through the gorge and shoots out over 8 metres beyond to create a beautful blue/green pool. The name Huka is the Maori word for 'foam', which is appropriate as the falling water and rapids certainly resembles foam, especially under flooding conditions.


 TAUPO LAKE

                           Taupo, a town near the centre of New Zealand's North Island, is distinguished by its lakefront setting and outdoor sports ranging from fishing to jet-boating. The vast waters of Lake Taupo, a volcanic caldera, drain into the Huka Falls, dramatic, crystal-blue cascades reachable by hiking and biking trails. Surrounding Taupo are hot springs like those filling the Craters of the Moon reserve.

 QUEENSTOWN 

Queenstown, New Zealand, sits on the shore of the South Island’s Lake Wakatipu, set against the dramatic Southern Alps. The surrounding Central Otago region is known for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards, and for adventure sports. In winter, there's backcountry skiing and the country’s highest vertical drops. This is a tricky topic because the cost of living depends on the city you live in (Beijing and shanghai are more expensive than second such as Kunming or Chengdu. Which are more expensive then other countryside and  extremely depends on your lifestyle. When you hanging out with friend's you can find a cheap beer in Shanghai where Tsingdao beer are sold for 10 RMB each.

When you are looking for a shared apartment in Beijing or Shanghai. However, the rent will be cheaper in a second-tier city. You'll also have to pay for electricity, water, gas and internet. My experience is that you shouldn't pay more than a total amount of 450 Yuan/Month ( 200 electricity, 50 gas, 60 Water, and 120 For Internet). I'm referring to the whole apartment, so if you share it with other people, you'll pay less than that.

Food in China may be a cheap as cheap  10 yuan for a big plate jiaozi (Chinese Dumplings) or lamian (Chinese noodles). However,if you want to eat meat and fish or go to expat restaurants, price will go to expat restaurants, prices will go up quickly. I cook myself and mostly eat meat, eggs, and a lots of vegitables obviously. Pure Yogurt cost around 7 yuan it tastes good without sugar. so, I spend around 80/day and 2400/Month in Beijing.

I would suggest you to take a long term calls on internet then you could reduce the price instantly.
I have spent 120 yuan per month and off course it vary according to the distances.The Subway system in china is world largest subway system, nearly 3 million passengers using the system daily. The urban Buses are cheap, let's say about 5/ day or 150 yuan/Month. cabs is quite expensive in the metro cities.

Air pollution is considered one of the major environmental issues which affecting people across the world. Beijing is far from the only city in China affected with very serious air pollution crisis. In fact, many of these cities are actually sharing much. According to the Center for disease and prevention said that the average 18 year old resident in Beijing would suffer and spend 40% of his remaining life in ill factor. To keep the environment healthier and safely we need a severe action must be taken to prevent the Red alert version of air pollution. Indeed, to make it possible we will require the coordinated action by Every Chinese citizen whoever would love to stay healthy and committed to the environment protection and make china to become a Free zone from pollution.
